Solo-Engagement Tactics: Aggressive, not Reckless, Strategies

Response Options offers first-on-the-scene Officers training based on their need to rapidly and intelligently engage the most violent situations imaginable. We understand the requirement of our School Resource Officers, Patrol Officers, and Campus Officers in these events: Rescue large numbers of people in an extremely violent event, in a large or confined space, with a minimum of manpower - often just themselves. There will always be a "first" officer on scene. If he/she waits for more officers, who are we portraying needs help more: the police or those under attack?

The course is designed to provide Officers with the necessary mental and physical skills to draw attention of the active shooter away from the potential victims, confuse and frustrate the shooter, and successfully neutralize the situation. The courses involve classroom, range, and scenario instruction.
