3 day, 24 hour class. The RAIDER (Rapid Deployment, Awareness, Intervention, Decisiveness, EMS, Recovery) program will expose First-on-Scene Police Officers to the tactical skills necessary to operate in a hostile environment, populated by large numbers of friendlies, with an Active Killer attempting to achieve a body count.
These are not traditional/normal events, so neither is the response. A single officer can make a difference.
Students will be exposed to mental and physical challenges.
Classroom time will be limited, with course emphasis on CQB shooting skills, engagement tactics, distraction and control techniques.
Range Time will cover shooting skills, single officer tactics, combatives, rescue, and the dynamic of officers linking up. Students will bring pistol and long-guns, body armor, 200 pistol rounds, 210 carbine rounds. 300 pistol rounds if no rifle to be employed.
Scenarios will be conducted exposing students to the reality of Active Killer events, and the requirements necessary for the Officers' rapid, but intelligent, deployment.
